In partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and a designated group of stakeholders, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO), Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (CCDET) has developed courses to renew registry designation status on the UWO CCDET Dementia Training Registry for individuals who have completed one or both of the following Generalist courses:

Participants in either of the trainings listed above must successfully complete one of the following options to remain on the Dementia Training Registry:

Dementia Renewal Two Course Bundle (2 hours, $30) or
Dementia Specialist Designation (4 hours, $60) or
Dementia Generalist for Crisis Responders (4 hours, $60) or Dementia Generalist for Healthcare Providers (3 hours, $45) - whichever training is not yet completed. This is not a renewal option if both trainings have been completed.

The renewal option must be completed within six months and prior to the renewal date(s) listed on the Dementia Training Registry to continuously remain on the registry. This registry will be available to the public and will list individuals trained in dementia care, along with the name of the completed training, completion and renewal date(s) and the type of class, online or face to face. This registry does not replace industry standards and regulations for hiring. Processes in hiring must continue to be followed.

To remain on the registry, individuals must take renewal courses every two years. These courses will be developed and delivered by UWO CCDET. Individuals must meet competency levels in order to remain on the registry. There is no requirement to finish the course in one sitting. You can start now and finish later (up to 6 months).

Upon completing the registration process, it may take up to two business days to receive access to the training. Correspondence regarding the registration process and training access will be sent to you from regstaff@uwosh.edu email. Courses with Final Assessments offer two attempts to pass at 80% or better. Participants will have access to the course for 6 months.

Refund Policy: The Dementia online training is available to registrants for six months. There are no refunds or cancellations for this training.
